What Is Intercompany Lead Sharing?
Intercompany Lead Sharing lets any company owner or partner in the Qu4tro Labs portfolio send a structured opportunity lead to another portfolio company. Leads flow through the Intercompany Leads tab on the Company Owner Dashboard and the admin pipeline, creating a visible, trackable record of cross-portfolio collaboration.
Each lead captures the sender, the recipient, an optional consortium context, a lead type, and a message. The recipient can accept, reject, or respond, and the sender can mark the lead completed once an outcome is reached.
NOTE
Leads are scoped by company. You can only send leads from companies you own, and you only receive leads addressed to companies you own. Admins can view and manage all leads across the portfolio.
How It Works
The lead sharing workflow has three roles and a simple lifecycle:
SENDER
A company owner or partner who identifies an opportunity for another portfolio company and sends a lead.
RECIPIENT
The portfolio company that receives the lead, reviews it, and responds with accept, reject, or a message.
ADMIN
Qu4tro Labs admins can view all leads, create leads on behalf of any company, and track portfolio-wide collaboration.
The Lifecycle
- 1The sender opens the Intercompany Leads tab and clicks New Lead.
- 2The sender selects a recipient company, an optional consortium, a lead type, and writes a message describing the opportunity.
- 3The lead appears in the recipient's Received list with a Pending status.
- 4The recipient reviews the lead and responds: Accept, Reject, or a written response.
- 5If accepted, the sender can Mark Completed once the opportunity is realized.
Lead Types
Every lead is categorized by type. The type helps the recipient understand the nature of the opportunity at a glance.
CROSS-SELL / PARTNERSHIP
Introduce a customer, distribution channel, or joint go-to-market opportunity to another portfolio company.
INVESTORS / FUNDING
Share an investor introduction, funding opportunity, or capital source with a company that is raising.
RESOURCES / TALENT
Offer or request shared resources, talent referrals, contractors, or operational support between companies.
OTHER
Any other collaborative opportunity that does not fit the categories above.
Sending a Lead
To send a lead from the Company Owner Dashboard:
- 1Open the Company Owner Dashboard and select your company.
- 2Navigate to the Intercompany Leads tab in the sidebar or tab bar.
- 3Click New Lead to open the lead form.
- 4Select a Recipient Company from the dropdown. You cannot send a lead to your own company.
- 5Optionally select a Consortium if this lead is relevant to a group effort (e.g. DroneVest, GVP).
- 6Choose a Lead Type: Cross-Sell / Partnership, Investors / Funding, Resources / Talent, or Other.
- 7Write a Message describing the opportunity. Be specific: who, what, why it matters, and what action you want the recipient to take.
- 8Click Send Lead. The lead is created instantly and appears in your Sent list and the recipient's Received list.
NOTE
Write clear, actionable messages. Include context such as the customer or investor name, the deal size or scope, timelines, and any introduction you can make. Vague leads are less likely to get a response.
Receiving and Responding to Leads
When another portfolio company sends you a lead, it appears in the Receivedsection of your Intercompany Leads tab.
- 1Open the Intercompany Leads tab and switch to Received.
- 2Review the sender, lead type, consortium context, and message.
- 3Click Respond to open the response panel.
- 4Optionally write a response message with your thoughts, questions, or next steps.
- 5Click Accept to move the lead to Accepted, or Reject to decline it.
- 6Your response and the timestamp are saved on the lead record for both parties to see.
NOTE
Respond promptly. The sender can see when you accepted or rejected, and a quick response keeps the portfolio collaboration loop tight. You can always follow up with a written response even after accepting.
Lead Status Flow
Every lead moves through a four-state lifecycle. The status badge on each lead card shows where it stands.
The lead has been sent and is awaiting a response from the recipient company.
The recipient has reviewed and accepted the lead. Both parties can now coordinate next steps.
The recipient has declined the lead. The sender can follow up or close the lead.
The lead resulted in a successful outcome. The sender marks it completed after acceptance.
NOTE
Only the sender can mark a lead Completed, and only after it has been Accepted. This keeps the outcome tracking in the hands of the person who initiated the opportunity.
For Partners and New Consortium Members
If you are a partner or a new consortium member joining the Qu4tro Labs portfolio, lead sharing is one of the fastest ways to create value across the ecosystem:
What You Can Do
- 1Send cross-sell leads to portfolio companies when you encounter a customer or channel that fits their product.
- 2Send funding leads when you know an investor or capital source that matches a company's raise profile.
- 3Send resource leads to share talent, contractors, or operational support across companies.
- 4Tag a lead with a consortium to surface it in the group's shared context and workspace.
What to Expect
- 1You will see leads you send in the Sent list and leads addressed to your company in the Received list.
- 2Recipients are notified through the platform. You can track the status of every lead you send.
- 3Admins can view all leads across the portfolio, so your contributions to cross-portfolio collaboration are visible.
